Our Process

My goal is to make the process as easy, enjoyable, and as stress-free as possible for you, with a high-level of customer service and great communication. Creating your invitations is one of the most fun parts of your planning! Your invitations give your guests their first glimpse into what your wedding or event will be like, so let’s work together to make them perfect for you!

Consultation

The best way to discuss what you would love to have for your invitation suite is to have an in-person consultation. This will allow me to find out more about your wedding, the style of invitation that you prefer, and fully discuss your needs. We will review samples and designs, select the ink colors that best match your wedding colors (there are hundreds to choose from!), and you can feel and see the quality of our papers and finished product. Together we will select your foil stamping colors, flocking colors, and other embellishments, review the pieces you need for your invitation suite and any day-of paper items, and discuss the schedule. If meeting face-to-face is not possible, that is not a problem. I work with brides near and far, and we can do your consultation over the phone, or even a video chat. Prefer email? We’ll make that work, too!

Designing Your Invitation Suite

After getting full details about your needs, you will receive a quotation that fully details the description of what is being provided, the costs, and an outlined schedule. Once you have approved the proposal and are ready to move forward with the ordering process, you will pay a deposit and then it is time to design your invitation suite! You will see an emailed proof of each and every piece for your approval before anything ever goes to print. You will want to check your proofs thoroughly line by line for any spelling mistakes, including commas and line breaks, and notify me if any corrections are necessary. You may also want to have another person look over it as well to confirm that everything is correct. Once everything is fully approved, the balance payment is due before files go to the printer.

And the Best Part…

Once files have gone to the printer, the process for printing and hand assembling your invitations begins! It generally takes about 6 weeks before they will be ready for you to receive. If you need them more quickly, don’t worry, I’ll arrange that for you! The schedule will be discussed with you and outlined up front with the quotation so you know what to expect. As your pieces are printing and are being assembled, you will be sent photos so you can get a preview of what they look like. And the day will finally come when they are ready for you to pick up or to receive via shipment! I love seeing the smile on your face when you hold your invitations in your hands for the first time!!!
